The 2001 Jordan Honda. The one and only year Jordan had a works Honda engine, after three years with the Meugen-Honda engine. Just a shame that the car was so unreliable, because it was really quick on good days.

Spoken too soo. Rip Jules. And safety hasn’t always been a priority. There used to be a time when they didn’t wanna hear anything about it. Till last year the drivers head wasn’t protected by anything and that’s what used to cause most driver deaths

The rise of the monocoque in F1 chassis design had nothing to do with safety. The older space frames were simply not rigid enough for use in the cars of that era. Ground effect brought greater g-forces, so a stiffer chassis was necessary. Safety was an added benefit.
