Not every startup-company that get funding from VC's are get rich quick scams. But many seems to be on the shady side. Usually, you can figure it out by the choice of their startup's name. As 99% of the world's largest companies has straight forward company names. Don't invest in companies with fluffy names. Same with stock market investing! If they can't get their company name right, how will they be able to get everything else right!?? When somebody pitch you on an investment in a startup... and the startup's name is like "Texlir" and similar , run the other way as fast as you can! :)
