Ok. I have come to the realization that the video camera on my Pixel Fold is lacking. The pictures are fine. it's just the video. When I look at videos filmed on my old Pixel Pro 7 it is sharp and clear and the color is great. When I look at the videos I've made since getting the Fold they are softer and nowhere near as sharp. I love the Fold. Perfect for my needs. I think that's why I've been avoiding facing the reality that my videos aren't as sharp as they were before. I will have to mess around with the settings and see what I can do about it. I can't afford getting a new phone and don't really want one. We will see.

So I've been editing the flute part of Time Warp and then made some minor adjustments to the mix. It's quite a bit better but I am not sure if the changes make it worth reposting a third time or letting them go to the album. Let me know if you want to hear the latest video?

I used compression for the first time. I mean I have tried it before but I am terrible at it so I never kept it. But this time it seemed to do what I wanted so I kept it. Now I'm not sure and I can no longer remove it. Lesson learned, next time I experiment do it on a copy so I have time to decide if it worked or not. so here's the thing, it did help make subtler portions more discernible. but it also seems to have flattend the dynamics too much. I am sure this is because I am not good at using it. I think I will record a new version of the song and compare the two and see what happens.

Why am I suddenly hearing people pronouncing Timbre like their cutting wood? Timber! I had never heard it pronounced that way before. I've always heard either tamber or tambra (A is in Bach) .... Not sure why it bothers me... I haven't really cared about pronunciations in the past. It just makes me think of cutting wood and not the nuance of tone quality. hmmm...

Is it just me or have we been getting less views since the promote button went up? I'm not here to make money, just make my music to be enjoyed by the few hundred or so people who like the kind of music I make. It seems like YT is making it harder for those of us doing this for fun
