True story, i was staying at my friends house on private property with a gate for entrance and i was on a upper lev deck and had the porch light on z, i was having a cigarette and we had a signoficant snowfall right? Then it froze because the temps were like 12 degrees and i heard bipedal footsteps in the crunching snow coming towards me. I froze and my eyesight and hearinv became very focused. It was about 2:30 a..m. so there was no way a normal human would walk clear up there onto gated property just to hopefully mess with me. Anyways i listened intently for quite some time and it stopped just outside of my vision. I know it was silent for about ten minutes or so so i yelled out " you are scarinv the hell out of me. " no response and i was shivering with fear plus the cold but i stayed out there as long as i could and i never saw what it was. I never heard it retreat but i decided to take a piece of rock crystal that we had for decoration and i had grabbed for protection and knock it on the top rail of the deck.three times. A few seconds later i got a reply a ways away. I listened and tried to communicate but nothing so i went to bed. Eventually. The next night i was out around midnight cleaning the snow off my buick and warming it up and i heard the craziest sound roaring through the forest. It sounded like an Eagle screaming that had to weigh like 800 pounds and an extremely large Man yelling with all his might! It repeated like 14 times and i was completely freaked out! I did go for an excursjon exactly one year later but me and 4 of my friends did not experience anything and got stuck on the ice so we called it short. Thank you for reading and be safe out there!

I was drunk one night at a bonfire and I had to take a piss so I went out of sight kind of stumbling around a bit and I stepped right on a Rake! It hit me really hard in the face and disappeared!

Every couple of years I watch this over again. I remember it's good but as I'm watching it I don't remember why I liked it so much. At first I'm critical and point out unrealistic things in the film. Then the rake appears. The tension builds so masterfully, at the end of the film I'm genuinely terrified every time, it's great! This is easily one of my top favourite found footage films.

Stupid people don't bring firearm with them when they go into the wood. Not just the Rake kill them mountain lions and grizzly bears can kill them too.
