Hi Henry I remember when I was at Burford boarding house by the church. It was a Summers day ‘76 and I was walking down the hill. My eyes were transfixed to this bike coming towards me. It was a silver bike with what I call a bullet sidecar. The bike was silver and on the front of the sidecar was Rocket3. This bike I will never forget.
Henry your a legend, nearly tried to contact you on this site as my friend has a Land Rover Defender with a Puma 2.2 engine . I did ring around and one guy said they were rubbish. But when I told my friends engine had done 189,000 miles, and sometimes would put 3.5 tonnes of weight on his Ifor Williams trailer he said he was lucky. He has his own reclamation buisness. Ridgeway Architectural Services . Anyway he has sorted a replacement. By the way Henry like you he has a few classic bikes and a Second World War Harley apparently there are two engine types. Any way my Dad had a Franny Barnett and my Nan use to live next door to the Clarkes in Springfield Avenue Banbury and Pete Clarke who was known as Fred Clarke did the Audio on Silverstone I think it was when the bikes raced there. Fancy a Cuppa 🤣✌️🇬🇧💯🥃👍
