To all the nay sayers yes leather does shrink but not that much. If gloves really shrank 15% just from getting wet nobody would buy them.

The prosecutor allowed this to happen and can be blamed for allowing a murderer to go free. OJ is clearly acting when trying on the gloves. All the prosecutor had to do was have someone with similar sized hands put the gloves on. The detectives also state that the prosecutor was working against them and wanted OJ to win - you'd have to have lived through all this to understand. The RK riots were two years prior. Also, people were very tired at this point as the trial was dragging on for eleven months. In 1994 everyone was watching it because tv was all we had at the time. Everyone wanted some sort of resolve. The defense attorneys most likely told OJ to act like the gloves were too small, which is why he is laughing like a little kid - he's acting. OJ was considered a pure role model figure (a sociopath underneath) and many, including the jury, could not deal with the reality that he was a cold hearted killer. So a delusional jury and a prosecutor siding with the defense is what happened. A clear case of our legal system not working as intended.

If DNA was not brand new at this time OJ would have been gone. The expert on witness lost the jury because it was so dry and scientific. If he just would have said the odds of it not being Mr Simpson’s DNA is on in 10 billion….done.
