I didn't care for any of the film adaptations but this is awesome!
I remember the first time that I ever heard this, years ago.

Never get tired hearing this episode. great acting. i understand it is a favorite. Hope she got an award for this performance.

It's always been funny to me that this has always been ranked as one of, if not THE, greatest performance in the suspense genre for radio drama, because everytime I hear it, I end up downing 3 aspirin by the end. I listen to a LOT of old time radio, and nothing grates on my nerves like listening to Agnes Moorehead endlessly screeching like a schizophrenic banshee. She did it in everything back then, because she received such accolades for this, and I'd like a time machine so I can murder the critics who encouraged it. Killing Hitler would be second on my list. And before you give me crap, just keep in mind I probably have waaaaay more street cred than you when it comes to OTR. I've literally listened to every episode of Suspense, CBSRMT, and Gunsmoke, The Hermit's Cave, X Minus One, and many others at least once. It's called dialysis, friends and neighbors, and that's what I've always done when the needles are in my arm. I just lay there and listen to OTR for hours
