Why breed these dogs ... ?!? It's cruel... As they have a lot of health issues!!

Based on my specs for dogs, this is the perfect dog for people like me.

"Has health issues", bro they're literally so malformed they can't even breed on their own. I rescued a frenchie two years ago and she's about 4 years old now and she already has spondylosis. Current aesthetic breeding trends have also weakened their spines to the point that they will just break with even the slightest wrong movement Those insanely large ears are also extremely prone to infection. Oh and my frenchie is allergic to literally everything, including her own skin yeast. Breeding Frenchies should be outlawed. I am begging you, please stop buying these dogs.

My Frenchie goes for a 3 to 5 mile walk every day, loves playing fetch for hours and can (and has) bred without any help or intervention.

I have a pet french bulldog, he's extremely stubborn. Everything about this video checks out except for the biting, he's pretty mean at night especially when he's guarding something (that usually isn't his lol!).

I have mixed feelings about these dogs. I work in the veterinary and dog grooming fields. I feel as though the cost and the extent of health issues of the breed in general has not been explained in detail. Grooming wise it is not just a wet it and dry it situation the folds in the face need constant detailed cleaning with dog friendly wipes and must be individually scrubbed and dried during bathing to avoid irritation however it's not really a case of stopping irritation and discomfort for the dog it's more about reducing it, is that fair? The wrinkles collect moisture, become irritated and become yeasty which is very uncomfortable for the dog (itchy, smelly stick etc) and hard for owners to watch (this happens in even very tiny wrinkles). These dogs also tend to have dirty ears that require cleaning with dog ear cleaning wipes, in my experience. In my opinion it is also not fair to give the dog energy by including terrier and then giving them an anatomy that doesn't allow them to expelle this energy without large amounts of discomfort. Their breathing is effected massively, being able to breath without discomfort is a basic animal right that should be respected and acknowledged instead of ignoring it for a cute look. I'm not saying that these dogs should be wiped from existence because I also love their funny personalities and lovable nature (in general) but I think all breeding of this breed should be focused on improving their health and quality of life because it's what they deserve and it's what we can provide.
