3. torture and ill-treatment:
Paank’s February 2024 report documented 28 torture victims, with methods including severe beatings and inhumane treatment in detention.
Bashir Azeem, a 76-year-old Baloch Republican Party secretary-general, was told by a Pakistani official in 2010, “We can torture you, or kill you, or keep you for years at our will,” during his detention.
Reports describe bodies with signs of knife wounds, drilled flesh, and singed genitals, indicating extreme torture before death.

4. targeting civilians:
The Pakistan Army’s operations, described as “extensive” against Baloch militants, disproportionately impact civilians, violating war rules, per Paank’s 2024 report.

6. forced displacement:
Military operations have displaced thousands of Baloch civilians. In August 2022, flooding in Jaffarabad, Balochistan, exacerbated displacement caused by ongoing military actions.
The 1973–1977 insurgency saw widespread displacement due to military bombings and tank deployments, with similar patterns persisting in recent operations.

7. attacks on cultural identity:
Baloch activists claim the military suppresses their ethnic identity by targeting nationalists and exploiting resources like gas and gold, with minimal benefits for locals.
The 1958–1959 conflict, triggered by the One Unit plan, saw military bombings and arrests to suppress Baloch resistance to cultural and political marginalization.
