this jusr happened to me on Tuesday. So on Sunday a nasty stench was lingering in the hall and I thought it was someones garbage.... but the garbage was taken out and the smell kept getting stronger and more intense and it soon began to smell like a dead animal. we were thinking it was maybe a dead animal that got into the attic and perished. but there is this man that lives next to me and I hadnt seen him for awhile but he is usually a hermit so it wasnt out of the ordinary not to see or hear from him at all. Anyways i went upto his door and smelled in between the crack and realised it was coming from his apartment. This man has a lot of mental health issues and he's usually ranting and raving in the building and disturbing other tenants so I was kind of like I didn't want to knock on his door or anything so I called the landlord and told him to come down here because I thought that maybe this guy was dead and lo and behold he was in his apartment and he had passed away and it smelled so bad and because we're in Canada there's no central air anywhere unless you're in a grocery store and even now that his body has been removed the stench is still there. We have been keeping the fire escape door open and its a rather small building with three floors and we are on the top floor, but because its hot we can still smell it. I just wanted to know when someone is going to clean up his apartment. its still sealed off by police. the guy was young in his forties so he may have been suicidal or overdosed. He had no family and just one or two friends. its sad.

God the that job would suck. You couldn't pay me millions to do this job he'll no. I hate blood I can't even hunt because if smells. And I'm sure if you kill a deer or something it's going to drink bad for sure. My gag reflex is so bad I get sick if we cooked chicken and threw away the wrapper in the garbage and a couple days later it start stinking I can't go near it my wife has to take the bag to the can. Yuck lmao

Couldn't do it, I'd have to be in a fully sealed biohazard suit with an O2 tank on my back, so i wouldn't smell that, those particulate masks won't stop smells and i heard there is nothing on this planet that smells worse. My uncle should know, he was assigned body detail in the Korean war from 1950-52, he is still alive at 85 and i know that smell has never left him even though he shows no PTSD signs.

I was asked to move a body stained couch and paint. It smells like musk, BO, and rotten meat. It's the worst creepiest thing I've ever smelled. I could smell it through the apartment door, but when I opened it up it really hit me. It was so fucking creepy. That smell and that couch haunted my thoughts for months. I refused to touch that couch. I recommend leaving this up to the pros..

This was a great video about the profession. I know a channel that is run by actual crime scene cleaners who post daily videos and hold a livestream once a week. If you’re interested check out youtube.com/c/crimescenecleanersroundtable.

How does a brain tumor result in that much blood on the mattress? Did I miss some mention of a gun suicide?
