I have a cousin who is a priest and he was asked to go study in Rome and he trained for exorcisms. This was in the early 90’s when he went. Today if you ask him anything about his time in Rome he just acts like he doesn’t hear you and walks away. I wish I could know some of what he saw and studied!!

I think you made a mistake The shinning came out in 1980 and was inspired of Stephen king’s book from 1977 with the same so King couldn’t have inspired the book from something that happened in 1983

The book of the shinning was written in 1977 and the movie released in 1980. So the gripo you are describing of Stephen king to the hotel happened way after

The Rite wasn't a bad film. Not terrifying however if this happened in reality that would be something you'd never ever get over.

The Hills have eyes still haunts me. It's not that it scares me, it's the fate of those people who were just driving through and we're ambushed, raped and then cut up to be eaten. The film depicted a terrifying story of no escape.

Robert Bloch had almost completed the novel before Ed geins crimes and were revealed and he had no idea that Ed gein lived with an overbearing mother. He said he found it odd how a character he created was almost exactly like ed gein himself. Get the facts right.
