I just roasted just the chicken no veggies I used vegetable oil over the chicken instead of butter, because we can't eat butter, anyway smoke alarm kept going off I guess because of the oil. Chicken looks good it wasn't burning? Any suggestions about smoke alarm going off because of oil?

good recipe, but after I covered the chicken it made the crispy skin mushy. it basically steams itself. i would follow this recipe again, without the foil. and don't wash your chicken, folks. it's needless.
