I just use warm water, the water I get from the crane is STEAMING hot so it takes only some minute for the water in the bowl to boil hahaha

Or just preboil the water within 2-3 mins in an electric water boiler, then pour it into the pot let it boil for another 1 min and you can put the pasta in. It doesn't take that much effort.
